The Municipal Authority is composed of seven Authority members. Four members are residents from Wellsville Borough appointed by Wellsville Borough Council. Three members are Warrington Township residents appointed by Warrington Township for a staggered five year term. The Authority is responsible for setting policy, enacting local ordinances, adopting budgets and maintaining sewer pumps.

The Municipal Authority holds a meeting the third Thursday of each month at 7:30PM at the Borough Building.
